Jimmy "Laughs A Lot" Fallon

So tonight I watched the first episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.  It was exactly as bad as I thought it would be.  Very tame and mindless.  There was nothing clever or edgy about it.  What's the deal?  The show is on at 12:30AM...I miss the masturbating bear.

I have been a fan of Conan O'Brien for at least 10 years, and seeing this douche step in and take over made me mad. Jimmy Fallon was never really that funny.  How did he get this show?  I'd rather see Carson Daly get the time slot, and trust me, I'm no Carson Daly fan.  

Jimmy Fallon's segment "lick it for ten" was a waste of time.  Not funny at all.  His interviews were awkward and stupid.  He seemed like he wanted to talk about himself most of the time. He kept reminding us that he used to be on SNL.  Yeah I remember Jimmy...and I didn't laugh then either.

I would have loved to see Tom Green take over for Conan.  His internet talk show is amazing, and it would have been nice to see him on tv again...although now he's on the apprentice or something.

So there are three laughless months ahead of us all, as we wait for the premier of The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.

Why Doesn't MTV Play Videos Anymore?

It pisses me off that MTV plays nothing but lame reality dating shows.  I'm channel surfing at 6 am, as I often do, and they have nothing on but Parental Control.  This show isn't even believable.  Everyone just keeps insulting each other with these really badly written insults that the producers of the show so obviously tell these people to say.  "This guy looks like Big Foot after a makeover." Really?  This shit is actually on TV?  Give me a goddamn break.  Who actually enjoys this stuff?  There's no quality programming anywhere anymore.

Thank god for the Chiller Network and their reruns of Freddy's Nightmares.  Cheesy as hell, but that's the point.  I miss when bad tv was good, now it's just awful and dumbed down.  

I can't relate to people just a few years younger than me, because the youth of America has grown up completely oblivious to the world around them.  If it wasn't on this week's epsisode of The Hills, they don't care.  Fuck you MTV youth.
